Established in 2018, Timișora Film Society Association represents an NGO born from the desire of a motivated group to create films. Our goal is to bring value to the local film industry, a field previously nonexistent in our community. Timisoara Film Society came into being organically, in a gradual process fueled by our shared passion for audiovisual art.
We are a volunteer-based NGO, turning passion into institutional commitment. Members have financially supported the three films produced, maintaining independence. We aim for a more productive association, surpassing volunteerism, even though the local film industry is below international standards. We are in a phase of voluntary investment, with high expectations for the future.
Timișoara Film Society Concept was born representing the idea: that Romanian cinema can evolve. Greatness materializes when talents and efforts come together and aim towards a common goal.
TFS brings together film enthusiasts, filmmakers, directors, videographers, photographers, sound technicians, graffiti artists, writers, screenwriters, actors, singers, and makeup artists. Simply put, a true elite. Timisoara Film Society is the place where we evolve both as individuals and as a team.
